Chat & Chill with John & Jill

John last appeared on Broadway in MY FAIR LADY at Lincoln Center Theater. His other Broadway credits include CASA VALENTINA at Manhattan Theater Club, BYE BYE BIRDIE at Roundabout Theater Company, NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT (Chief Berry) as well as creating roles in SISTER ACT (Joey), DISNEY’S THE LITTLE MERMAID (Chef Louis), and JEKYLL & HYDE. He has played Max Bialystock in THE PRODUCERS as well as the roles of Roger DeBris and Franz Liebkind.  He has toured the U.S. and Europe in productions of KISS ME KATE and CATS.

Off-Broadway, John created roles in CLINTON The Musical, Howard Crabtree’s WHEN PIGS FLY!, DISASTER The Musical, and in BATBOY The Musical. He has performed at Carnegie Hall as Nicely Nicely in GUYS & DOLLS with Nathan Lane and Megan Mullaly. 

Regionally, John has performed with Yale Repertory Theater, The Old Globe Theater, Cleveland Playhouse,  and also at  Papermill Playhouse.

He has appeared on television in AND JUST LIKE THAT, GOTHAM, YOUNGER, THE GOOD WIFE, THE KNICK, BOARDWALK EMPIRE, NURSE JACKIE, 30 ROCK, LAW & ORDER, and the films LAST NIGHT, and THE PRODUCERS. 

He can be heard on many theatrical recordings as well as his own solo CDs Count the Stars and On Christmas Morning are available on itunes and cdbaby.com

 

Broadway veterans, JOHN TREACY EGAN and JILL PAICE, will share some stories, songs and some general ‘good advice’ about careers in the theatre along with some personal experiences as professional performers. 

Their enjoyable personalities will create a fun, yet intimate atmosphere where they will tell us about the stress, strain, love and joy of life in the theatre.  Students, parents and theatre-lovers will enjoy this presentation followed by a Q & A, which will include a live performance from roles that they originated on Broadway!

Jill is an award-nominated actress and singer and recent transplant to Croton on Hudson. Her Broadway credits include An American in Paris (Milo), Matilda (Miss Honey), The 39 Steps, Curtains (Niki Harris) and The Woman in White (Laura Fairlie). She also appeared on the West End in The Woman in White and Gone with the Wind (Scarlett O’Hara).

Some of her other credits include Company starring Neil Patrick Harris and filmed for PBS, Maury Yeston’s Death Takes a Holiday (Grazia, original cast recording), the national tour of Les Miserables and Mamma Mia (Sophie, Las Vegas).

She is a voice student of the incredible Joan Lader. Jill has a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theater from Baldwin Wallace Conservatory where she studied under Victoria Bussert. She will be teaching private voice to serious voice students at The Cortlandt School of Performing Arts.
